Staging - Finding great deals on items you can use to stage your photo shoots

I have started really getting more and more into photography and one of the biggest obstacles to master is staging the scene!

Clearance is your best friend:

When you are starting out any kind of small business money is usually tight, very tight! The problem is you still need to buy things. Whether it's equipment, ingredients, or items to stage your photo shoots ... it all can add up rather quickly. I have found Clearance areas in any store are becoming my BEST friend! My favorite place to look is Michaels.

In the main image above you can see that I purchased 1 wooden garden pot, 2 ceramic planters, 1 plastic globe, 1 ceramic bird, 3 sets of magnets, 3 sets of cupcake liners, a bag of sea items, 2 blue and white striped coaster and 3 plastic nautical plates. All of those were items in the clearance section. At least 5 items were $1.00 ... come on!

My grand total you might ask? Just under $35.00. I call that a great price! These can be used for a lot of different photo shoots. Happy clearance hunting!
